Fortnite VPN Ban: Quick Workarounds to “You Were Kicked Out…”

Playing Fortnite with your friends online is a common practice for gamers. Things get interesting when they get a chance to enter competitions and tournaments worldwide. These Fortnite tournaments keep the excitement alive and introduce newer challenges for players.

However, many have reported that the error “You were kicked out for cheating” keeps appearing.

It is a common but pressing issue that has ruined the game for many. As soon as the error appears, all the progress is lost. The prompt appears when players try to cheat using mods to enhance their performance. When the Fortnite server detects something wrong from the players’ end, it instantly blocks the IP address.

Sometimes the error is genuine, as many players use unfair means to get an edge over others. But there are times when the issue appears out of nowhere.

If the same error has wronged you and you want to ensure it does not happen again, read this post! In this one, we have curated some of the most effective workarounds to the error so you can continue your conquest.

Pro Tip – If Fortnite has blocked your IP, you can revive your game again by masking your IP address using Systweak VPN. Some believe that Fortnite can detect VPNs too. However, only a few know Systweak VPN allows you to use multiple servers, so even if an IP is banned, you have a way around it.

Why Am I Getting the “You Were Kicked Out for Cheating Error?

The error usually occurs when a Fortnite player tries to run the game via an emulator, play a different league using a poor VPN, or use mods to enhance the potential.

Most of the time, gamers try to run the game with unnecessary mods that allow them to unlock high-level gadgets.  Having a lower experience level in the game with higher category tools is misleading to other players, which is grounds for cheating.

Not to mention, there are multiple user guidelines that one has to follow while playing the game. Not adhering to those rules and regulations makes you a highlighted user on the server.

Fornite Guidelines Gamers Should Follow –

  • Sharing personal information on the game server is strictly prohibited.
  • Bullying other players based on anything is a big no. Your conversations are continuously monitored, and you are instantly blocked if someone reports you for bullying.
  • Teaming up with someone on your opposite team can also trigger the cheating error.
  • Going out of your way and discriminating against other players based on race, caste, ethnicity, etc., gets you blocked instantly.
  • Using performance mods that allow you to exploit game glitches is unacceptable.

Not adhering to any of these can hamper the integrity of the game, and it will drive users off the platform. And rightly so!

Why such guidelines?

They are implemented to prevent bots from playing against real players. The measures put in place by Fortnite react to even the slightest of changes in the playing configurations. Using a mod that only alters your keyboard background lights or measures your PC performance benchmarks while running the game can also trigger the error.

Avoid Getting Kicked Out for Cheating  – How to Remove Fortnite IP Ban?

Now that you know why the error appears, let us look at ways you can resolve the issue.

If you violate the guidelines, you will be blocked from the game for a while. However, if you have done nothing out of the ordinary, your connection was flagged because of your VPN connection.

To prevent being traced, gamers deploy VPN while playing a social game like Fortnite. However, there are times when these VPN IPs are already blocked because of previous episodes.

Some of the ways you can get over the “you were kicked out for cheating” error and make the most out of your game are –

Way #1 – Ensure the Anti-Cheat Programs are Running

Anti-cheat programs are inbuilt utility tools by the game developers to ensure that the PC system is not using anything extra to enhance performance. Sometimes when you have installed the game in a rush or from a different source, these programs are not correctly installed.

And when they are unavailable, there is no legitimate way for the game server to check your PC for cheating.

Such situations automatically trigger the error and get you out of the game. So, make sure you keep the anti-cheat programs running on your computer. There are two Anti-Cheat programs that Fortnite uses, BattleEye and EasyAntiCheat.

To ensure that your PC has these programs and they run before you launch the game, follow the given steps.

Step 1 – Launch the Fortnite game and minimize it to return to your desktop.
Step 2 – On the desktop, open the Task  Manager with a simple shortcut – Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Step 3 – In the Task Manager, switch to processes and look for both EasyAntiCheat & BattleEye.
Step 4 – If the processes are running, you are good to go, If they are not running, you will have to install these utilities manually. Step  5 – To manually install these, you need to look for their setup files in the binary folder for Fortnite. You can access the Binary folder at –

C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64

Step 6 – In the opened location through the above directory address, you should find the following files –

  • FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping
  • FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_EAC
  • FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_BE
  • FortniteLauncher

Among these files EAC and BE refer to Anti Cheat programs. Execute them to run the programs instantly. If these files are missing from the binary folder, you may need to download these files manually.

Step 7 – Running these programs can help you resolve the issue completely. Try running the game, and the error should be removed.

Way #2 – Remove Any Unnecessary Customization Software

While playing Fortnite, if any sort of customization software is running, the game will face hindrances. Whether the software in question relates to Fortnite or not, the custom software will raise a red flag.

Hence you should remove any customization software installed on your computer. Custom software refers to –

  • Popular customization applications like WindowBlinds.
  • Background lighting applications for keyboards & CPU.
  • Anything that can allow you to make cosmetic changes to your PC performance.

You may face the Fortnite issue if you have any of this installed software on your computer. Here are some steps you can use –

Step 1 – Press Windows + R to open the Run search.
Step 2 – In the Run, use the command “Control” and hit the Enter key.  Step 3 – This will open the control panel on your PC.
Step 4 – In the Control Panel, look for Programs/ Uninstall a Program. Step 5 – Once you have opened the uninstall utility, look for the abovementioned applications and start uninstalling them individually.  Once they are uninstalled, restart your computer and try running the game. It should fix

Way #3 – Use a Proper VPN Client to Change IP

Lastly, if none of the above methods work, and the core reason for you getting kicked out of the game is your IP ban, you need a proper VPN client.

You tend to use very common servers when you use a free VPN, and Fortnite has a list of such VPN IPs that it bans instantly. Due to this and other disadvantages that come with free VPN, using it is not recommended.

If you want to use a VPN that can help avoid such situations instead of any free VPN, go for Systweak VPN. It is pocket friendly and offers a series of benefits.

Benefits of Using Systweak VPN

  • Military Grade Encryption to keep your data safe.
  • Series of optimized and less used servers.
  • High-speed compatible connectivity
  • Latest IKeyV4 integration

To use the product instantly, follow these steps –

Step 1. Download the Systweak VPN from the link below

Step 2 – Create your credentials using the signup option.

Step 3 – Once you have signed up, connect to the recommended server.
Step 4 – You can change the server anytime you want to change your location. Step 5 – Try running Fortnite, only this time your game will run without an IP ban as it changed!

Bypassing Fortnite Ban Made Easy [2023]

With the help of these 3 ways, you can easily get over issues while playing Fortnite. Please keep in mind that these methods only work when you have been wrongly getting banned from the game. If you have attempted cheating or misconduct on the platform, these fixes might never work.

Make sure you adhere to the rules of the game. In case you have been wrongly kicked out of the game or your IP has been banned, these ways should be enough to fix things for you! H

With that being said, we have reached the end of this post! Hope you find it helpful with your issue! Good luck.
