3. Click Next.


4. Select Install the hardware I manually select from a list (Advanced) > click Next.


5. This will open Add Hardware window > from Common hardware types, select Network adapters.


6. Click Microsoft from the left pane > Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter from the right > Next.


7. To install the adapter, click Next > Finish.
8. Next, click View under Device Manager > Show hidden device.


9. Expand the Network adapters category and see if you can see Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter. If you can, congrats. You need to move on to the next fix if you cannot.

Method 2 – Re-Enable Teredo Adapter

Follow these steps to disable and re-enable Teredo Adapter.

1. In the Windows search bar, type the command prompt.
2. Right-click > Run as administrator.
3. Type the following command and Enter.

netsh interface Teredo set state disable

4. Once the command is executed, reboot the PC.
5. After the PC restarts, run the elevated command prompt (as administrator)
6. Next, type the following command :

netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

7. Press Windows + X > select Device Manager from the context menu
8. Click View > Show hidden devices


9. Double-click Network Adapter and look for the Microsoft Teredo adapter. If it shows up, your problem is fixed. If not, you will need to check Windows registry settings.

Method 3 – Examine The Registry’s Settings of a Windows

If the above two methods have failed, you need to go to Windows Registry and check if the Teredo adapter is disabled. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Run command prompt as administrator.
2. Type reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Service\iphlpsv\Teredo and press Enter key.
3. See if the output includes the following lines.
Type EG_DWORD 0x4
4. If it does, it means the Teredo adapter is disabled. To enable it to type the following command: netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

In case you don’t see the above line, you can type the following command:
reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters

5. Check the value of the following line: DisabledComponents REG_DWORD …
6. If the value is not 0x0, like DisabledComponents REG_DWORD 0x8e, the Teredo adapter is disabled. Type the following command and press Enter to enable the adapter:
reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0

7. To overwrite the value type Yes.
8. If the value is 0x0, move on to the next step.
9. Press Windows + X > Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices > double click Network adapters > the Teredo adapter will show up

If none have worked, use Advanced Driver Updater to fix the issue. Using it, you can update outdated drivers.
